굿모닝! 말라위에서 맞는 마지막 날 아침이 밝았습니다.

오늘 아침을 끝으로 명희 자매님의 정성 가득한 손맛을 더는 맛볼 수 없다고 생각하니 벌써부터 아쉬움이 밀려옵니다.

오전에는 아침 예배와 비전 기도회를 드렸습니다. 그리고 지난 며칠 동안 땀 흘려 만들고 칠하며 완성한 벤치, 그리고 예쁘게 변한 교회 외벽을 배경으로 다 함께 단체 사진을 찍는 시간을 가졌습니다.

Good morning! Our final morning in Malawi has dawned.

We are deeply saddened to realize that this breakfast was the last of Sister Myunghui’s beautifully prepared meals, which she made with so much love and devotion.

Our morning schedule began with morning worship and a vision prayer meeting. 

Following the services, we spent a meaningful time taking a group photo in front of the church wall and the benches we lovingly constructed and painted together over the past few days.

앞으로 이 벤치에 앉아 예배하고 기도하게 될 현지 성도님들을 떠올려봅니다. 

그분들이 걸어갈 믿음의 여정을 축복하며, 마음을 다해 벤치 위에 손을 얹고 간절히 기도드렸습니다.

We pictured the local believers who will sit on this bench to worship and pray. 

Blessing the journey of faith they will walk, we placed our hands on the bench and prayed with all our heart.

말라위에서 에티오피아, 로마, 토론토를 경유해 샌프란시스코에 이르기까지 31시간이 넘는 여정이었습니다. 

돌아오는 길에는 말씀 암송과 더불어 말라위 사역에서 경험한 은혜들을 나누며 뜻깊은 시간을 보냈으나, 아쉽게도 사진을 남기지 못하였습니다. 

귀국길 최종 목적지에 도착하기까지 긴장을 늦출 수 없는 돌발 상황들이 연이어 발생했습니다. 

불가능해 보이는 현실 앞에 심리적인 불안감과 촉박함도 있었지만, 선교팀의 간절한 합심 기도를 통해 막힌 길을 열어주시는 하나님의 도우심을 체험했습니다.

특히 환승 시간이 1시간에 불과했던 토론토 공항에서, 전 팀원이 한 명도 지체되지 않고 샌프란시스코행 항공편에 무사히 탑승할 수 있었던 것은 전적인 하나님의 은혜였습니다. 

It was a journey of over 31 hours from Malawi to San Francisco, via Ethiopia, Rome, and Toronto. 

On the return trip, we spent invaluable time memorizing verses and reflecting on the grace we received during our ministry in Malawi; unfortunately, 

I was unable to capture these moments in photographs.Until our arrival at our final destination, we encountered consecutive unforeseen circumstances that required our constant vigilance. Although the seemingly impossible situations brought psychological anxiety and a sense of urgency, we experienced God's direct intervention opening closed paths through the earnest corporate prayers of our mission team. In particular, it was entirely by the grace of God that all team members successfully boarded the flight to San Francisco without a single delay during a layover of merely one hour at Toronto Airport.

마침내 샌프란시스코 공항에 도착했습니다. 수많은 수하물 중 단 하나의 분실도 없었고, 누구 하나 아프거나 다친 사람 없이 모두 건강한 모습이었습니다. 우리의 모든 걸음을 신실하게 인도해 주신 하나님께 감사의 기도를 올려드린 후, 다 함께 기쁨의 단체 사진을 찍으며 이번 선교 여정을 은혜 가운데 마무리했습니다.

We have finally arrived at San Francisco Airport. Out of all our luggage, not a single piece was misplaced, and every team member returned in good health, with no illness or injury. After offering a prayer of gratitude to God for faithfully guiding our entire journey, we took a final group photograph together, beautifully concluding this mission trip in His grace.

말라위로 보냄을 받은 자는 26명이었지만, 선교 전부터 체크인 가방을 아낌없이 후원해 주신 성도님들, 가는 길에 요기하라며 간식비를 쥐여주신 성도님들, 그리고 떠나기 전부터 돌아오는 그 순간까지 매일 기도로 단단히 묶어주신 우리 새누리 성도님들이 계셨기에 가능했습니다. 성도님들의 사랑 덕분에 저희가 새누리 교회를 대표하여 하나님의 일꾼으로 귀하게 쓰임받고 돌아올 수 있었습니다.

늘 작고 연약한 자들을 들어 쓰시는 하나님, 저희의 발걸음을 통해 오직 하나님의 이름만이 말라위 땅에 높이 들림 받으셨으리라 믿습니다. 우리가 전하고 온 예수님의 사랑이 그 땅 구석구석에 흘러넘치기를 소망하며, 하나님의 놀라운 돌파가 말라위 땅에도, 그리고 우리 새누리 교회 위에도 가득하기를 간절히 기도합니다. 파라츠!!

Although only 26 of us were sent to Malawi, this mission was only possible because of our Saenuri church family. We are so grateful to the church members who generously donated suitcases before we even left, those who tucked away pocket money for our travel snacks, and everyone who tightly bound us in daily prayer from the moment we departed until the very second we returned. Because of your love, we were able to serve as God's workers and return safely, representing Saenuri Church.

Lord, You who always choose to lift up and use the small and weak. We believe that through our footsteps, your name alone was exalted in the land of Malawi. We pray that the love of Jesus we shared will overflow into every corner of that land. We earnestly pray for God’s amazing breakthrough to fill the land of Malawi, and also rest upon our Saenuri Church. Paratz!!
