[DAY 1] 유럽 종교개혁 순례 - 새누리 출발 및 프라하 도착! > 선교 일지

안녕하세요! 이번 유럽 종교개혁 순례의 현장을 생생하게 전해드릴 임무를 맡은 이하경입니다.

16~17세기, 아니 그 훨씬 이전부터 이어온 선구자들의 믿음이 오늘의 우리에게 닿기까지, 역사의 흐름 속에서 필연적으로 일어날 수밖에 없었던 종교개혁 역사의 현장을 함께 걸어가며 그 은혜를 나누어 드리겠습니다.

Hello! I am Haakyung Lee, tasked with bringing you a vivid account of this European Reformation Pilgrimage!

From the 16th and 17th centuries — and even long before — the faith of those pioneering believers has flowed down to us today. We will walk together through the historic sites where the Reformation inevitably unfolded throughout the currents of history, and share in that grace with you.

3월 15일 주일 오후 3시반에 새누리교회에서 모였습니다. 보내주는 이들의 격려와 함께 다같이 기도 후 단체사진을 찍고 출발하였습니다!

On Sunday afternoon, March 15th at 3:30 PM, we gathered at Saenuri Church. With words of encouragement from those who came to send us off, we prayed together, took a group photo, and set out!

다같이 파랏츠!를 큰소리로 외치며 이 귀한 동행의 첫 장을 열었습니다. 함께라서 더 빛나는 순례길입니다.

Together we shouted "Paratz!" at the top of our lungs, opening the first chapter of this precious journey together. This pilgrimage shines all the brighter because we walk it together.

그럼 이제 버스를 타고 공항으로 이동할게요!

Now let's hop on the bus and head to the airport!

사모님과 진아자매님께서 이성호목사님의 안위를 걱정하시며 손을 흔들며 배웅해 주셨습니다. 목사님의 무사귀환을 온 순례단이 책임지겠습니다! 

Samonim and Sister Jina waved us off with warm hearts, worried about Pastor Lee's wellbeing. The entire pilgrimage team vows to bring him home safely!

말이 필요 없는 찰떡 호흡!

Pastor Son's eyes: "I'm counting on you." Eyes of Pastor Moon and Pastor Lee: "Don't worry!" 

A perfect understanding that needs no words!

걱정했던 짐 부치기도 순조롭게 완료! 혹시나 복잡할까 했던 공항은 우리를 위해 준비라도 한 듯 한산했고, 덕분에 출발 전부터 팀원들과 풍성한 교제 시간을 누렸습니다.

The dreaded luggage check-in went smoothly! The airport, which we feared might be crowded, was surprisingly quiet — as if it had been prepared just for us — and we enjoyed rich fellowship with teammates even before departure.

그리고 깜짝 이벤트! 오늘이 딱 혜경자매님 생신이라 공항에서 즉석 생일파티가 열렸습니다!

유럽 순례 떠나는 날 공항에서 생일 축하받기 — 흔치 않은 경험입니다! 

And then — a surprise event! Today happened to be Sister Hyekyung's birthday, so a spontaneous birthday party broke out right at the airport! Getting a birthday celebration at the airport on the day you leave for a European pilgrimage — now that's a rare experience!

밥 한 끼의 마법! 

팀원들과 나뉘어 저녁식사를 함께하며 어색함은 내려놓고 기대와 설렘은 가득 채웠습니다.

이미 순례 시작 전부터 팀워크 완성되어가는 중입니다!

The magic of a shared meal! We split into groups for dinner, setting aside any awkwardness and filling up on anticipation and excitement. The teamwork is already coming together before the pilgrimage has even officially begun!

스위스로 가는 비행기안! 

On the plane to Switzerland!

스위스에 발을 디뎠습니다! 

비록 2시간 짧은 경유였지만, 안전하게 인도해주신 하나님께 감사기도부터 드렸습니다. 이제 프라하로 출발 준비합니다!

We set foot in Switzerland! 

Though it was only a brief 2-hour layover, the very first thing we did was offer a prayer of thanks to God for guiding us safely. Now we prepare to depart for Prague!

터미널이 꽤 길어, 트램을 타고 건너갑니다. immigration도 무사히 통과 후 터미널 앞으로 도착하니 30분 언짓 남았습니다. 

드디어 선교의 필수 관문 — 말씀 암송 점검 타임 돌입!

삼삼오오 모여 '이렇게 하면 잘 외워진다'는 필승 비법들이 쏟아지고 있습니다. 과연 다 통과할 수 있을까요? 

The terminal was quite long, so we rode the tram across. After clearing immigration and arriving at the gate, we had just under 30 minutes to spare.

And so — the essential gateway of mission work: Scripture memorization check time! Groups of three and four huddled together, sharing their top tips and tricks for memorizing verses. Will everyone pass?

뒤에 안경낀 외국인 자매도 한팀인줄 알았습니다..ㅎㅎ 

The person with glasses behind us turned out to be a foreign passenger, not one of our team members… haha

스위스 공항이 갑자기 성경학교가 되었습니다.

서로 외운 것을 확인해주고 틀리면 잡아주고... 이 훈훈한 광경, 어디서도 보기 힘든 장면입니다. 

The Swiss airport had suddenly become a Bible school. Checking each other's recitations, catching mistakes, encouraging one another — a heartwarming scene you won't find just anywhere.

거룩한 부담감을 밝은 웃음으로 승화시키는 한솔자매님! 

Turning that holy pressure into a bright smile — Sister Hansol! 

3조에서는 명숙자매님께서 단연 돋보이십니다!

나이는 숫자에 불과하다는 것을 몸소 보여주시며 누구보다 열정적으로 말씀을 외우고 계십니다ㅎㅎ 

그 열의에 감동받은 팀원들도 덩달아 불꽃 암송 모드 돌입!

In Group 3, Sister Myungsook was absolutely the standout! Proving that age is just a number, she memorized with more passion than anyone. Her enthusiasm inspired the rest of the team to kick into full memorization mode!

그리고 결과는 단연! 올패스!

And the results? A perfect all-pass!

2조 또한 도전하러 손목사님 앞으로 나왔습니다. 스위스 공항 한켠에서 펼쳐지는 이 긴장감 넘치는 암송 도전... 주변 외국인들도 궁금해할 것 같습니다.

Group 2 also stepped up to the challenge before Pastor Son. A tense memorization showdown in the corner of the Swiss airport — we're pretty sure the other travelers were wondering what was going on.

5조의 도전! 그런데 예상치 못한 변수가 등장했습니다.

바로 이성호 목사님의 전격 참전 선포! 

Group 5's challenge! But then — an unexpected wildcard appeared. Pastor Sungho Lee announced he was joining!

스위스 공항 암송 배틀의 열기가 너무 뜨거웠던 걸까요... 한솔자매님께서 두통을 호소하고 계십니다. 

Could it be that the heat of the Swiss airport memorization battle was too intense? Sister Hansol has reported a headache.

윤성희 전도사님과 윤명숙 사모님께서는 한글자 한글자 말씀 암송을 써내려가셨습니다. 

 한 글자 한 글자 말씀을 써내려가시는 정성에 손목사님께서 엄지 척으로 화답하셨습니다!

Yoon JDSN and Yoon Samonim wrote out the Scripture passage word by word, letter by letter. Pastor Son responded with a big thumbs up at their dedication!

이 순례길을 함께하시는 윤성희 전도사님께서는 이미 빌리 그레이엄 전도자의 안식처를 직접 찾아가셨던 분입니다. 

선배 신앙인의 발자취 앞에서 느낀 감동을 품고 이번 순례길에 함께하시는 전도사님, 이 여정이 더욱 기대됩니다.

Yoon JDSN, who walks this pilgrimage with us, has already made a personal visit to the resting place of evangelist Billy Graham. Carrying the deep emotion he felt standing before the footsteps of that great saint of faith, we look forward to seeing what this pilgrimage journey will mean for him.

필사파가 점점 늘어나고 있습니다.

4조의 송윤석 형제님, 송혜경 자매님께서도 한 글자 한 글자 정성껏 써내려가시며 필사 대열에 합류하셨습니다! 

The handwriting camp is growing! Brother Yoonseok and Sister Hyekyung of Group 4 have also joined the ranks, carefully writing out the Scripture letter by letter!

그런데 자세히 보니 더 아름다운 장면이 펼쳐지고 있었습니다. 

대환형제님, 미경자매님 — 4조 조장님 부부께서 서로를 위하며 함께 말씀을 외워가고 계십니다. 

말씀 암송도 함께, 순례길도 함께 — 이것이 진정한 동역자가 아닐까요?

But look a little closer and an even more beautiful scene unfolds. Brother Daehwan and Sister Mikyung — the Group 4 leaders — are memorizing together, caring for one another every step of the way. Memorizing Scripture together, walking the pilgrimage together — isn't this what true partnership in ministry looks like?

이번 순례팀의 유일한 EM 청년부, Izzy 성하자매님께서도 말씀을 완벽하게 외우셨습니다! 

청년의 열정, 순례팀 전체에 신선한 바람을 불어넣어 주실 것 같습니다!

Izzy Sister Sungha, the one and only EM young adult member on this pilgrimage team, recited the Scripture perfectly! The passion of EM Young adults — she's sure to breathe fresh energy into the entire team!

모든 성구암송을 마치고 이제 프라하로 출발! 

With all Scripture memorization complete — now on to Prague!

프라하에 무사히 도착했습니다! 어느덧 해가 저물어 저녁이 되었습니다.

We arrived safely in Prague! The sun had set and evening had fallen.

프라하 도착과 함께 감동의 상봉! 성하자매님의 가족, 일형 형제님과 동희 자매님께서 프라하에서 합류하시면서 36명 순례팀 전원이 드디어 한자리에 모였습니다! 

이제 한 명도 빠짐없이 모두 모였습니다. 드디어 진짜 2026 새누리 유럽 종교개혁 순례가 시작됩니다!

A heartfelt reunion upon arriving in Prague! Sister Sungha's family — Brother Ilhyung and Sister Donghee — joined us in Prague, and all 36 members of the pilgrimage team were finally gathered in one place! Not a single person missing. The 2026 Saenuri European Reformation Pilgrimage has truly and officially begun!

긴 여정 끝에 드디어 36명 완전체! 이 순간을 위해 달려왔습니다. 파랏츠! 

We made it — all 36 of us! This is the moment we've been running toward. Paratz! 

안전하게 인도해주신 은혜에 감사드리고, 호텔까지의 길도 주님께 올려드리는 이 순간 — 선교는 언제나 기도로 시작되고 기도로 완성됩니다! 

Giving thanks for the grace of safe arrival, and lifting the remaining journey to the hotel up to the Lord — mission always begins and ends in prayer!

각자 방 키를 받아들고 잠시 흩어졌다가 예배를 위해 다시 로비로 모일 예정입니다! 

유럽식 아담한 엘리베이터에 끼여 타 MZ 항공샷을 시도해보았습니다. 

이렇게 꽉꽉 붙어있다 보면 순례팀의 사랑도 그만큼 꽉꽉 채워지는 것 아닐까요?

Each person received their room key, scattered briefly, and will gather again in the lobby for worship. We tried squeezing into the charmingly compact European elevator for an MZ-style overhead shot. The more we squeeze in together, the more our love as a team gets packed in too, don't you think? 

단체로 움직여질때 목사님 말씀과 투어가이드 선생님의 목소리를 잘 들을 수 있도록 수신기를 하나씩 나눠주셨습니다.

그리고 호텔 로비, 수신기를 귀에 꽂고 손목사님의 인도로 드리는 첫 예배 — 프라하에서의 첫날 밤이 말씀으로 채워집니다.

To make sure everyone could hear Pastor Son's words and the tour guide's instructions clearly during group movements, each person was given a receiver. And there in the hotel lobby, with receivers in our ears, we gathered for our first worship service led by Pastor Son — Prague's first night is filled with the Word.

예배 후 순례팀의 첫 번째 프라하 만찬이 차려졌습니다.

메뉴는 바로... 컵라면! 

손목사님께서 조를 나눠주시고 방에서 옹기종기 모여 함께 먹는 이 순간, 어떤 레스토랑 부럽지 않습니다. 교제가 곧 양식입니다ㅎㅎ

After worship, the pilgrimage team's first Prague feast was served. The menu? Cup noodles! 

Pastor Son divided us into groups, and we huddled together in our rooms, sharing the meal. No restaurant could compare. Fellowship is its own nourishment.

내일은 종교개혁자 얀 후스의 발자취를 따라 프라하 곳곳을 누빌 예정입니다! 

긴 여정으로 지친 36명의 몸과 마음이 충분히 회복되고, 내일의 발걸음 하나하나를 주님께서 친히 인도해 주시길 기도 부탁드립니다.

지금까지 유럽 종교개혁 순례, 프라하에서의 첫날을 전해드렸습니다!

Tomorrow we plan to follow in the footsteps of Reformation pioneer Jan Hus throughout Prague! Please pray that all 36 weary travelers will be fully restored in body and spirit, and that the Lord Himself will guide each and every step we take tomorrow.
